Malte Bruns Germany, b. 1984

Malte Bruns studied sculpture with Georg Herold at the Academy of Art Düsseldorf (2009-2014). In 2014, he received a prestigious travel grant from the Kunstverein Düsseldorf, and in 2016, Bruns was shortlisted for the prestigious Nam June Paik Award. His works mainly refers to the world of mechanics and machines, with a focus both on the innovations of the industrial revolution and on today's illusion techniques and animation capabilities.
